Website design cost in Indore (2026): what ₹15k, ₹25k and ₹40k actually buy
Real prices from an Indore studio, what each package includes and leaves out, what you'll pay over three years, and when Instagram and Google Maps are enough for now.
Instagram finds you customers. A store takes the orders: a proper cart, UPI, cards and COD, shipping labels and tax invoices, so you stop running the business from DMs and payment screenshots.
the instagram ceiling
Instagram is brilliant at finding customers. It was never built to run your orders.
Price in DMs, a UPI screenshot, an address typed by hand, a courier booked separately. Fine at five orders a week. Painful at five a day.
Six problems we hear from every Instagram seller who comes to us.
No cart, no order numbers, no stock count. Sizes, addresses and "is this available?" live in hundreds of chats, and some get missed.
Checking every UPI screenshot against the bank app takes time, and fake screenshots are a known scam. India recorded 12.64 lakh UPI fraud cases in FY25.
Most Indian online orders are still cash on delivery. Payment companies estimate 25–30% of COD orders come back undelivered, against 2–3% for prepaid, and you pay shipping both ways.
Instagram reach for brand posts fell about 14% in a year (Socialinsider, 2026). When the algorithm changes, your sales change with it.
If the account is hacked or disabled, your customer list, chats and order history go with it. You can't export a customer list from DMs.
In-app Instagram checkout is US-only. In India, even Instagram Shop sends buyers to a website to pay, so without one there is nowhere to send them.
what changes
Customers still find you on Instagram. The difference is what happens after they tap the link in your bio or a product tag.
They pick a size, pay by UPI, card or COD, and get an order number on WhatsApp. You get a packed list, a shipping label from Shiprocket and a tax invoice with your GSTIN, without retyping anything.
Shopify Payments is not available in India, so Shopify adds its own fee on every online payment, on top of the payment gateway's fee.
| Basic | Grow | Advanced | |
|---|---|---|---|
| plan, billed yearly | ₹1,499 a month | ₹5,599 a month | ₹22,680 a month |
| plan, billed monthly | ₹1,994 a month | ₹7,447 a month | ₹30,164 a month |
| Shopify fee on online payments | 2% | 1% | 0.6% |
| Shopify fee on COD orders | ₹0 | ₹0 | ₹0 |
| gateway fee (Razorpay standard) | 2% + 18% GST on the fee | 2% + 18% GST on the fee | 2% + 18% GST on the fee |
| best for | new stores, most Instagram sellers | online sales above about ₹4 lakh a month | large catalogues and teams |
Shopify prices from shopify.com/in/pricing and Razorpay rates from razorpay.com/pricing, checked 22 October 2026, before applicable taxes. Paid apps and themes are extra and usually billed in US dollars.
What a prepaid order costs in fees on Shopify Basic with Razorpay.
| fee | amount |
|---|---|
| Razorpay platform fee (2%) | ₹20.00 |
| GST on Razorpay's fee (18%) | ₹3.60 |
| Shopify transaction fee (2%) | ₹20.00 |
| total, about 4.4% of the order | ₹43.60 |
Our own calculation from the published rates. A COD order pays no Shopify or gateway fee, but the courier charges for collecting cash, and refused parcels cost shipping both ways.
basic or grow?
On Basic, Shopify's fee costs ₹2,000 for every ₹1 lakh you take online.
Grow halves the fee to 1% but costs ₹4,100 more a month (billed yearly). It only pays off once online payments cross about ₹4.1 lakh a month, so most Instagram sellers should start on Basic and upgrade later.
There is no single right answer. Here is how the common options compare for a small Indian seller.

Instamojo prices from its pricing page, October 2026. WooCommerce running costs are typical estimates. Indian store builders can change direction fast: Bikayi cut most of its staff and pivoted in 2022, so make sure you can export your products and customers.
Everything a small Indian seller needs on day one. Nothing you will never use.
A fast, mobile-first theme in your brand colours, with your Instagram look carried over. Most of your buyers will open it on a phone.
Your catalogue built from what you already sell: photos, sizes, colours and prices, organised into collections.
Razorpay or another Indian gateway, with COD rules: pincode limits, order value caps and WhatsApp confirmation before dispatch.
Shiprocket (or your courier) connected, so labels, pickups and tracking links happen from the order screen.
Invoices with your GSTIN and HSN codes for every order, ready for your CA.
Products synced to Instagram and Facebook for tagging, a link-in-bio that converts, and order updates on WhatsApp.
We look at your Instagram, your best sellers and how orders, payments and shipping work today.
Your catalogue in a simple sheet, plus shipping, return and refund policies written in plain words.
Theme, collections and product pages on a preview link, with UPI, card and COD payments working.
Courier connected, COD rules set, invoices checked, and real test orders placed end to end.
Live on your domain, link in bio and product tags switched on, your team trained, and 30 days of free fixes.
Selling to shops in bulk rather than to consumers? A catalogue website or a B2B ordering portal fits better.
the moops promise
Fixed price before we start. A working demo every week. Your store, your customers, your data.
Projects start from ₹50,000. You pay per milestone, only for work you have seen running, with a proper invoice every time.
Real prices from an Indore studio, what each package includes and leaves out, what you'll pay over three years, and when Instagram and Google Maps are enough for now.
Ready-made sales apps, a custom ordering portal, or a better WhatsApp setup: costs, credit limits, party-wise rates and what changed with WhatsApp pricing in October 2026.
Usually, yes. Basic costs ₹1,499 a month billed yearly, about ₹50 a day, and saves hours of DMs, screenshot checks and manual courier bookings. If you get a few orders a week, a WhatsApp catalogue and UPI may be enough for now, and we will say so.
Shopify waives its transaction fee only for stores using Shopify Payments, which is not available in India. Indian stores use gateways like Razorpay, so Shopify charges 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow and 0.6% on Advanced on online payments, on top of the gateway fee.
Yes. Shopify charges no transaction fee on COD orders. Your courier charges for collecting cash, so we set COD rules: pincodes you deliver to, order value limits and a WhatsApp confirmation before dispatch.
If you ship goods to customers in other states, GST registration is generally required whatever your turnover. Selling only within Madhya Pradesh, the usual ₹40 lakh threshold for goods applies. The rules depend on what you sell, so please confirm with your CA before launch.
Yes, that is the point. Instagram stays your shop window: products are tagged in posts, the link in your bio goes to the store, and DMs are answered with a product link instead of a price list.
Not fully. In-app checkout is only available in the US. In India, Instagram Shop sends buyers to your website to pay, which is why you need a store behind it.
Your store, orders and customer list are not affected. You can keep selling, and you can reach past customers who agreed to hear from you.
Shopify suits most consumer brands: hosting, security and updates are handled for you. A custom store makes sense when you need wholesale rates, unusual pricing or no platform fee. Both start at ₹50,000, and we will recommend one after looking at your business.
The build starts at ₹50,000, one time. After that you pay Shopify directly (from ₹1,499 a month billed yearly, plus taxes), your payment gateway per transaction, and any paid apps you choose. We list every running cost before you decide.
You pay per milestone by UPI, NEFT or card, only for work you've seen running, with a proper invoice every time. The price is fixed before we start.
We check figures against the original source and date them. Prices and policies change, so verify before you rely on them.
